About
'Sone ki Chidiya - Naya Bharat, Nayi Udaan' is a 7-episode television series in Hindi, which will be telecasted on Doordarshan’s DD National channel and on All India Radio. It will also be appropriately spread through the Digital media.
This series will showcase, ‘what made India into ‘Sone ki Chidiya’ and how the British Raj very cunningly looted our enormous wealth and destroyed our great heritage, culture, social structures and civilizational wisdom.
The aim of the ‘Sone ki Chidiya’ series is to awaken a sense of belonging & pride in the audience for our great nation, particularly in the new generation by reminding them about the forgotten glory of India’s culture, heritage, traditional knowledge systems, civilizational values, wisdom, wealth and scientific abundance. The series promises, hopes and shares practical ways to rebuild India into ‘Sone ki Chidiya’ again and build a Naya
Bharat through Nayi Udaan.

The impact was such that till date we are living in an inferiority complex and today our clothing culture is a reflection of the western influence. As a result some of our incredible fabric arts are on the verge of extinction.

The 2nd episode ‘Dharti Pukare’ tells the story of India’s ancient, progressive & highly scientific agricultural system. Like textiles, the British invasion also destroyed our most traditional and healthy agricultural practices. From a nation that forever produced in abundance, we started facing frequent famines & millions of people died of hunger during the British raj. Through ‘Dharti Pukare’, we want every Indian to realize the richness of our ancient agricultural practices, the systematic damage caused by British rulers, the unhealthy practices that we are still following and the ways in which we can revive our earth, soil, health & our economy back.
